Let's catch up...

It's been a hot minute. A lot has happened. A LOT has changed. So, let's go back over about 12 months and briefly unpack all the incredible and not-so-incredible things that comes with life. Fringe 2022.

I did So SO many amazing shows and got to dive back into the world of movement and dance. Cocktail Creative's 'Arcadia - Bohemian Cabaret' saw me singing, guitar-ing, harmonica-ing & DANCING every night for the entire festival. What an amazing cast and team, and something that I have regularly since credited to 'bringing me back to life' after a few years of just coasting along and focussing on other people's careers, instead of my own. Massaoke Oz - saw me fronting the band in the amazing venue "the Moa" every weekend to thousands & That 90s Show Unplugged - had me cello-ing and singing my heart out to some nostalgic 90s tunes for a week. COVID-19 was in FULL swing, which meant daily RATs and living in a pop-up change room tent for 5 weeks to avoid becoming a dreaded 'close contact' - and I survived. Mind you, I also managed to continue to work my full time job at the radio station during this entire festival - no biggie. Fast forward a few months, and I've been hit up by the amazing Tom Lowndes, who witnessed me belting out "Chains" by Tina Arena every night with the 90s Unplugged crew, to join him at a music festival in WA performing in his "Hot Dub Time Machine" show. Those not familiar with Hot Dub - one; I am a LONG time fan - two; the show is of Tom DJ'ing through the years starting in the mid 1950's right through to 2012. It's iconic. And he manages to rip out some EPIC tunes that keep you on your feet for hours. What a show.

Naturally, I was ecstatic to be invited and to debut in this show to 15,000 people at a music festival - was kind of wild. This show then lead to me being booked later in the year for Hot Dub's Ten Year Anniversary Tour which took me all over Australia playing in some of the most iconic venues and cities (Sydney Harbour - ON the harbour - to name just one).

Amongst many other shows, the 90s family allowed me to don my best 'Alanis Morrisette' again at the Gov and well as being booked to tour with 'the Big Party' which show cases era specific festivals all over Australia - 70s, 80s, 90s + 00s. With a full year of travel ahead, I also managed to get back to LA for a month in August/September, and also got to holiday in Mexico - Tulum.

Too many stories, so I won't even start. I also travelled to see my best friend and meet her daughter, Adelaide, and those few days I really learnt a lot about myself and who I want to be. I thank Bree & Brooks with all my heart for allowing me into their home and opening my heart and mind.

During this time I founded my own production company "The Little Things Productions" and I started dreaming up ideas of events and shows for the future....... ....and I guess that brings us to now.... I will get into the first 3 months of 2023 with you all soon!! Peace and love, R.
